lalalalala
With children it seems that the beautiful moments in life happen with no planning. Life is a spontaneous, wonderful adventure. For example, today we had the opportunity to watch Old Faithful erupt in Yellowstone National Park and watch an IMAX movie. Now, those are pretty cool things in my book and might have been highlights if the kiddos weren’t around. But, other delightful things happened today because of them. Like listening to Ryan’s pure laughter during the movie when the bear cubs were wrestling and falling out of trees as they learned to climb. Like wadding in the river with my nephews, being so careful, yet knowing that getting soaked is not a question, it is the inevitable. Like teaching Ryan how to braid my hair and play the hand slap game during long moments in the car. And when the hair has been braided and the hands are red from slaps and we are tired, feeling his little head rest on my shoulder and feeling his little hand slip into mine. Those are my favorite moments from the day.
