I was listening to an old Josh Groban CD this morning and was struck by the beauty of these lines:
I sing to life and to its tragic beauty.
To pain and to strife and all that dances through me.
The rise and the fall, I live through it all.
That, just like Gibran's poem on Joy and Sorrow, encompasses what I'm feeling and what I keep trying to express. On the wall next to my desk is the quote, "I get up. I walk. I fall down. Meanwhile, I keep dancing."
Amen to all of these words. Amen.
